OUR TEACHING APPROACH
Partner dancing is not learned by memorizing steps. It is learned through awareness, timing, and trust.

At Billings ballroom, we teach dance as a physical conversation-one built on clear lead and follow, attentive listening, and mutual responsibility. Every lesson focuses on how two people move together, communicate through connection, and respond with intention rather than force,.

Our instruction is structured, welcoming, and deeply personal. We work with dancers of all ages 6 ad older, all experience levels, and across ballroom, latin, swing, country western, and social styles-whether your goal is confidence on a social floor, preparation for a wedding, or refinement of advanced technique.

What matters most to us is that you leave each lesson more grounded in your body, more confident in your movement, and more connected- to your partner and yourself.
MEET THE TEAM
Our instructors are trained to partner dancing with clarity, patience, and intention. We believe great teaching is not about ego or performancce-it's about meeting each dancer where they are and guiding them forward with confidence.

Our team works collaboratively to ensure consistent instruction across private lessons, group classes, and wedding dance preparation. Whether you are a complete beginner or an experienced dancer refining technique, you'll be supported by instructors who value connection, structure, and long-term progress.
MEET ARICA

Arica's relationship with dance began early and never left, Trained across ballet, jazz, cheer, and hip hop, she developed a deep understanding of movement before choosing, in college, to dedicate herself fully to partner dancing-where connection, communication, and intention come alive.
While attending Brigham Young University-Idaho, Arica minored in ballroom dance instruction, serving as both a student teacher and a member of touring teams. She taught extensively through school internships, including instruction within middle school programs, and competed at the collegiate level-earning numerous awards and high marks on medals exams before transitioning her focus toward teaching and mentorship.
Her career has since spanned high school programs, private instruction, and the founding of her own studio, where her students have gone on to appear on television, win titles, and pursue professional dance careers of their own,. Yet for Arica, accolades have never been the measure of success.
Her greatest reward lies in witnessing the transformative power of dance-how it builds confidence, strengthens human connection, and heals body, mind, and spirit.
That philosophy led to the creation of Step Together, Arica's signature program that uses partner dancing as a practical framework for personal growth and relationship development.
Through physical movement, participants learn communication, boundaries, trust, and teamwork-skills that extend far beyond the dance floor.

In addition to her work in the studio, Arica is a TEDx speaker and professional presenter, sharing the science, psychology, and human impact of partner dancing at workshops, retreats, and conferences, Her speaking for bridges movement, neuroscience, and lived experience, offering audiences a powerful embodied understanding of connection.
Whether teaching a first lesson preparing couples for a wedding, mentoring advanced dancers, or speaking on stage, Arica's work is guided by one belief:
when people learn to move together with intention, they learn to live with greater joy and connection.
